Easiest and cheapest way to watch NBA?

I am gutted that One HD have decided not to conitinue broadcasting NBA this season.

Can anyone suggest how I can get access to a couple of matches a week for as cheap as possible.

I considered the league pass but that's over $200 and I'm not made of money (struggling student).Although it does get cheaper for just the playoffs, towards the end of the season.

I considered getting the foxtel on my 360 and paying 29 a month to get the ESPN channel. Does anyone know if this channel plays NBA and if so are they the decent matches/ sames ones on regular foxtel.

I don't have regular foxtel and the 360 one seems like a good choice because I don't get locked into a contract and I don't always have money to pay the bill. But I would have to fork out for a gold subscription. I could cancel the foxtel in the offseason though to save some cash.

Currently, I watch the top 10 plays and the daily zap on youtube to keep upto date with the scores, but it was nice to get a couple of matches each week on free to air tv.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Also is anyone else gutted by how one ditched the NBA coverage?

move to america... get leg extensions (if your not already 6ft5+)...then spit in the coaches face.... you'll have an awesome view from the bench

Probably not the best idea mate, just ask the guy on the right here :smileywink::

I think ESPN should have the games source

As for other options, a quick google brings up sweet f.a. Possibly look into using VPN's or proxies and do it legit using hulu or some other american service... or torrents :smileytongue:

Unfortunately those are your options. If you have the availability, then League Pass is your best bet. The price actually went up for the season which is a bit strange for a condensed season. ESPN generally only play a couple of games per week and usually feature the same handful of teams(LA, Miami, Dallas etc).

Also, if you enter the following code when signing up for League Pass you get 10% off the subscription fee.

If you're going for the XBL Gold + Foxtel thingo, get one of these, far cheaper option.

Alternatively, the cheapest option is to become mates with someone who already has a Foxtel sub, then you can watch it round theirs. :smileyhappy:

Re: Easiest and cheapest way to watch NBA?

Thanks for all the responses. My best mate who I used to watch the games on ONE hd with doesn't have foxtel either. :smileysad:

It's a total pain in the rear end, it was perfect as I only ever wanted a few matches each week. I'll either settle with highlights or go for the leaguepass for only the playoffs (if the teams I like get through).Or maybe go for the foxtel thing. So basically I have made no decision at all! XD

Downloading seems silly, would take forever and I wouldn't ever want to watch it again. And I prefer to watch things legitimately if I can.

I would actually like to move to the states some time, if only for a few years and I am 6'5", but I can't see me spitting at the coach!
