Not posted for a while ....but just had the pleasure of Kiwiatlarge's company for the last 2 days (probably why his post count has slowed) and had an away pass from the cleaner to get in some serious gaming time......
But what to play in the company of your favourite gaming partner.????
Pulled out Resistance , which imo is probably the best offline co-op game there is...and enter gaming heaven..me, my mate....a bottle of Jim Beam and some Chimera to kill ![]()
Twas bliss....and we knocked off a complete hard run through in an evening and an afternoon...and tbh, was some of the best gaming fun I've had in ages...
Made me also realise how much fun a solid co-op gaming experience can be when shared with someone on the same wavelength....hopefully they continue to make them ....oh and R:FOM kicks buttski..yes it's dated and shows....but you gotta love the feel of the weapons, the weapon wheel, level design and the wonderful story ....still my favourite in the franchise...
Also had some time to fit in a d/l episode of RE5..........
Cheers for the fun 2 days mate...oh and Kiwi has a new name from my son ...Daphne, call him this at you own peril ![]()
Thought I'd share.......Mr flightless bird and his lovely Mrs should be home soon ......and the post count will increase......

Nice to hear it, myself and a mate still partake in offline co-op when we can. Army of Two: 40th day is a real good example also, it can be picked up cheap too. R:FoM was the first PS3 game we co-op'd too, it's also my favourite of the franchise, it has the most "soul" out of the three for me.
I spent most of Sunday round a mate's playing Bombernam Ultra, we put at least five hours in, proper old school. I think next time I may take Micro Machines V3 over seeing as that works on the PS3.
Yup, online gaming is great but you really can't beat a good old fashioned two mates on the sofa job.

lol..yip agree...Micro Machines brings back memories of flatting Uni days..me and 2 mates crammed around an old 486 with the one keyboard playing for the right to not do the washing up.....ahhhh..happy days...
and yes you're right, R:FOM has more soul than 2 and 3 combined, couldn't have said it better myself, that and offline co-op sofa play rules ....
us old gaming farts should know a thing or two...eh ![]()

Ah, dated and it shows..... yet, by god have I missed everything they have taken out of the game with it's sequels... more charm and subtle Insomniac humour in the campaign, than the two sequels combined IMO...
Finally home old boy, and pleased to report it is still standing, and all animals present.. ![]()

Haha, I jumped back onto my PS2 when recovering from a big weekend and decided to play the good ol' "WARHAMMER 40k: Firepower"!! Omg. I forgot how much I loved this game hahaha.
I really enjoyed Firewarrior too, a lot of other people I know hated it, but I didn't.
Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter was another game out at that time that I rather enjoyed.
