I was apart of the old Sony forums, the Derwent Howard ones I believe? How ever long ago that was and signed up to these ones back in 2008. I am on the look out for new forums, so thought I'd come back here and check it out as I already know a couple of the guys here.

They were the old Official PlayStation Magazine ones IIRC, I was also a member of those.

As for here, well I signed up many moons ago on the UK forums (when they also had a separate sekrit forum) when I had my PS2 and was living in Surrey. Later (possibly in 2004 - I know it was before I moved here which was 2005) I signed up to the old AUS/NZ ones also (when they were totally separate) as I was planning on moving to Australia with my Aussie missus and wanted to check out the local scene. Then the AUS/NZ forum merged with the UK one and suddenly seemed to get a bit quieter.

I've met a few of the nice peeps from here at a KZ2 event, some of whom also used to post on another forum I was on (gameplayer) which has gone now. You'll see me on quite a few other forums on various subjects, although gaming ones are the norm, with OAP being my main forum of choice.

I guess my forum posting here is a bit like grazing, I still post on both sides but I'm not too fussed about starting new threads or "fitting in" but like to join in when it takes my fancy.

Overall, the PS Community adds something that Friends Lists lack, a more thorough interactivity where you get to learn more about your associates than you can in-game.

I remember meeting you at that killzone event, good times. It's funny you should mention gameplayer actually, I don't know if you are aware but we went off and made our own forums, and a few of the old members are still posting today. Let me know if you would like the link.

As I remember you. I still have heaps of those Xbox Beach Balls that Ness gave out!

I'm trying to keep my forum numbers down now as I barely have enough time to Work/Forum/Drink/Game/Foster Kittens as it is. Thanks for the offer though, I think I know which forum I can find the old crew on should I have a change of heart. :smileywink:

Re: PlayStation Community and You - Your Experiences

I joined these forums earlier this year, been playing PS3 only since Jan last year, on my flatmate's one.
Getting my own PS3 when I get back from holidays in a month or so.
Haven't really been a forum junkie since way back in the early 2000's. But I usually have some time to kill these days, so love sharing my knowledge here, whether I'm asked for it or not. :smileytongue:
