I like alot of types of music, although not death metal or anything where I don't understang the vocals through the screaming.

Really love Ben Harper. Seen him several times and always brilliant live, like pretty much anything though although pop is lower on my list. Have an appreciation of musicians not so much manufactured music.

I'm into a bit of everything, only genres I don't tend to listen to is country, hip hop, rap and most pop music and I also love listening to game and movie ost's. I've gotten into listening to music from commercials lately... that's right commercials. Like audiomachines (youtube it) they do music for movies and trailers as well.

@Bigpav, I agree. Musicians are great - Though stuff like hiphop and R&B whilst, have been manufactured are great imho.
I mean, so long as the beat is unique - Its quite hard to get a beat that actually SOUNDS RIGHT. You can throw any old garbage together - but getting it to actually sound great - thats a talent.

Artists such as Lady GaGa - need to be slashed out of popular culture - not just pop music.
Bad Romance and Poker Face, two songs, same beat - different octave. Where is the skill?
The "lyrics" are even more retarded. "Rah rah - oh lala" Oh, so I'm listening to a fancy french baby?

Ben Harper, a bit...slow for my liking. I mean - don't get me wrong, if it came on the radio or I got free tickets - I'd go...BUT I wouldnt go out of my way to get tickets or buy the song.

@PSIress - I agree, country music is...drab, boring and frankly whiney. Okay, we get it - your dog died.
As far as hiphop, rap - I use to be quite into rap, but I mean you find that most of the artists now days have sold out and are doing more dance music than rap.

I still like the music, but it has to be meaningful. Music like Tupac - some of the lyrics in his songs are so deep. He spoke and wrote like a prophet.
Music such as...Snoop Dogg - "Sipping on Gin and Juice, laaaaaaaaid back - got my mind on money and my money on my mind" - Okay? Thanks for sharing.

I used to listen to eminem before he went mainstream - cliché I know, and D12.

See, I love eminem, mainstream or not.
He isn't so much mainstream at the moment if you think about it, his records mainly were to shock people. Others were to show his life. He writes from his experience (instead of the posers today who act like they've done all this stuff and haven't)

Linkin Park are the band that started my love for anything apart from Rap, hiphop and techno.
I HATE their new stuff. Anything past Minutes to midnight...including MOST of minutes to midnight - is utter CR*P
