Re: Best Community Event

Euro Killzone - Chris has gone to great lengths to organise international Killzone matches with moderators from other countries. Despite barriers like language and time zones, the UK has played a bunch of countries including France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Poland and even the USA. We've enjoyed victory and suffered defeat. But through it all we've had lots of fun and experienced what it truly means to be part of a global community.

KIllzone 2 Girls vs Boys - I never played the event but if it's anything like the Resistance 2 Girls vs boys event then I'm sure it's well organised and plenty of craic.

Re: Best Community Event

Has to be the Football forum's Fifa BAP club :smileyvery-happy:

over 30 forumers in there, with some of us having played 400-500 games, we also play near enough every night, and have done since the release of Fifa 10

Re: Best Community Event

Nuclearfish's Burnout Thursday Fun Night  easily gets my vote.

Hard to imagine this event has been running close to a year now and is still a really enjoyable night. While most games may have lots of game modes and options available to keep the game fresh, In Burnout Paradise although the game received regular content updates, the game has always been limited in variety of what to do online.

However with this event, Nuclearfish has succesfully managed to keep the game entertaining and fresh, coming up with our own unique game modes to play online. These included Tournaments, tag-team races, hide and seek and setting out our own challenges to beat after we finished all the game provided ones, a picture of one was even featured on the Criterion games blog from when we all managed to meet up on top of the Big Surf Island Entrance in the dust storm.

The only issue is that due to the small nature of the event many people won't even know or consider it, which is a shame, as it is definately the best event I've played in 2009.

Uh...aren't you the Mod of another event, pac? My reaction can be seen in the avatar next to my name.

Mind you, since nobody has decided to suggest any Home events...hell, nobody really gives a monkey's about Home, except for the half-dozen regulars on the forum, and since I can't nominate my own event (or at least the one I used to run in Home), I'm going to vote for Bearskopff's Resistance 2 Fun nights in Home (which I also briefly ran for about 4 weeks alongside bigwalker96).

The "GD Trophy Hoarders KO Competition".

A very well run competition by Bearskopff and especially Ollie901 who updates the leaderboard and sorts the tournament out constantly.

I'll stick a vote in for this as well if thats alright :smileyvery-happy:
