Hey there,

Basically, I just used a skill point to obtain the Dual Pistol weapon tree, but I can't see to use it. Is there anything I need to do before I use it, or can I not use my Bow and Dual Pistol seperately?

Yer i made the same mistake in BETA

From what i know ATM.

You need to unlock the Skills. 

If you unlock the Skills (or some of them anyway)

You need to equipped a Pistol. 

Get one you can use in your LVL range. 

Then if you go into the Layout of your Hero / Villan (Not your items, but the look section)

You should be able to select you main weapon. 

By the looks of it there is a Empty space for a Second weapon. 

but i can only guess this will become available when you get to X lvl further on in the game.
