I bought it yesterday (a day early). Installed it, all 15gb worth... Watched a cool cutscene, customised a character, played it for 2 mins and it froze. I tried playing about half a dozen times, and it didn't work for me.

I uninstalled and re-installed and it's the same problem. I am now unable to do it again because I have almost used all of my download for the month. I tried again this morning and it freezes in the same spot every time.

I phoned tech support at Sony and they said they had read nothing on the fourms of this so here you go guys.

Hopefully it's just a server issue but I am extremely dissappointed. You'd think after all that Beta testing they'd get it right.

If it's down to the game shop for selling it to me before the embargo was lifted then shame on you guys, I bought the last copy in the store yesterday and they have been selling it all week prior to official release.

It's a lot of money to pay for something that is unplayable at the moment.

I have the exact same issue today, got it first thing and I've looked everywhere but can't find anything but soe saying that they will try to fix it next update.

"We have identified an issue affecting some PS3 players which happens within a few minutes of playing the tutorial.  We are currently working on a resolution and hope to have a fix in an upcoming update.  We appreciate everyones pstience and understanding."

They're working on it. Just have to wait for the next patch.

Same problem here but this has been all over the net since the beta i thought the delayed release was because it was being fixed..... seems like a great game but the lack of support for  the smaller countries is disturbing

Also picked mine up in Melbourne, Australi here. 

Went through the multiple hour update and still no luck getting through more than a minute of tutorial play.

Someone let me know when it's back up. :3

Yeah i brought my copy today at around noon, then when i got home i waited for the 2 hour long download to finish, after that i would almost be at the point of completing my character creation process when it would freeze then send me to a screen that explains to me that i am having connection issues, then after signing out then back in i would try and sometimes it would not even take me to the character creation. just a screen giving me reasons for its failure to load.

I bought the game today and after the hours and hours of downloading to play a brand new game which i cannot understand how the content isnt already in the game even after the beta the game freezes within 1 minute of playin. Great start to the game. Hopefully this gets patched soon

I am having the same problem... get up past the sentry bots and it stutters before freezing sucks but hopefully it will be fixed quickly
