Having exactly this problem, but only after downloading the latest update.  Being stuck on the same screen with "Checking Gave Assets" and never gets past 46%.  Didn't have this freeze up until the download... and there's nothing on the screen to imply that it's installing something like it did with the original download.

So, the question- impatience on my part (stuck at 46% for 90 minutes) or problem on the game's part.

clever they asked me to lock in my Legend Plan before I knew this was going to happen.

Yeah I've got a problem with mine too

Its the loading screen with lex, WM, SM, and BM, the bar underneath at first displays "checking assets" then it gets to full bar, then a yellow bar starts to fill up, underneath saying "remaining to download 244 MB."

The problem is, when it starts downloading and reaches to 190 MB left to download, it starts all over again. When i left it for 2 hours, i came back and on my screen it says "server is under maintanance, please try later."

I'm playing in Abu dhabi of UAE, I've got a pal 250 GB PS3 which I just bought for this game (I had a japanese PS3 NTSC), and it doesnt work. The game copy is EU.

PLEASE help ASAP.

mines only completed 22 percent in 24 hours. Now thats *****ed up, not only do i have to wait but its munched up 6gb of my allocated 40gb per month.
