I just came back to DCUO after a few months, downloaded the new update, and now when I start up the game it reaches the Joker loading screen before character selection and then crashes, the icon in the bottom right stops spinning and my PS3 requires a manual shutdown.

When I turn the ps3 back on, it sends a report then says it needs to scan for corrupt data.

This happens every time I start the game and I am worried if I keep trying its going to stuff my PS3 up.

I tried deleting the character cache as some have suggested, but it doesnt change a thing

Have you tried contacting the game dev? or PlayStation Support via phone?

Hi Namiwakiru,

Have you tried to reload the assets for the game?  To do this try:

As soon as you start loading the game, press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 at the same time and hold them down untill you see the assets reloading.

If the above does not work, unfortunately you may have to delete the game and reinstall it.
