People Online

[ Edited ]

Is it easy to PvP or go to raids with a party, w/o your league? I mean are there enough people who play the game so it can be enjoyable or not

Because I keep hearing that there are not many people online and this concerns me

Re: People Online

it all depends on which server you join, for all seasons is the more populer server for the pve and forpvp servers i think crossfire is better, and for going into pvp you should be ok to get in but dont exspect to have all the rite classes to get in with you such as healers or controllers. if you want join a raid its better to put a shout out in watchtower theres usually someone trying to set a raid up.

Easy answer is no it isn't easy at all.

You will rarely bump into player on Crossfire unless in a safe hour or near a ring / diamond event. The only people you will likely see elsewhere are Level 30 gankers just killing lower levels for kicks.

It took me waiting in an "1 min" queue 3 hours to join an alert.

All my characters are on Crossfire and since PSN was down the population has gone from medium to low. I'm seriously considering calling it a day if the merging of servers doesn't solve the population problem.

I can only hope SOE / Sony consider making this game FREE to play and microcharge people for other stuff instead.

I don't think that making the game F2P will help, instead this will make it worse because they won't make updates to servers etc but if they lowered the subscribtion cost that would help

Re: People Online

Well it is the only option. There is literally no one playing this game and certainly no reason for new players to want to play it given your progress will be hindered by the lack of a population. I myself am stuck as there is no one doing Alerts anymore.

Plenty of MMO's survive going F2P as the money is recouped via microcharging for other stuff. Perhaps Sony should look at including the subscription as part of PS Plus that would perhaps get some more people interested?

If things don't buck up though this one is dead in the water.

Re: People Online

Maybe the PS store results to low population, because it's down and people can't activate their subscriptions or they can't even buy the game,I want to download it too but ps store is down so I can't ..

Imagine how many people will have the same problem as me ,this can be a reason that DC universe hasn't many people online

Re: People Online

For new users maybe but for existing subscribers they should be able to log in fine, any subs that expired during downtime will have had time credited already. I've just hit 30, leveling from 20-30 is very fast considering the grind from 1 - 20.

Re: People Online

[ Edited ]

I loved dc universe but after 2 months the numbers were getting lower and lower, i quit whilst i was ahead.

I did a review a while ago here, where i talk specifically about the lack of community and social features.

On the pc the servers are near enough empty to.

I still keep myself up to date with dc uniiverse online, even the new server system of creating instances is not going to increase much players, most people prefer not to go into raids/alerts and even duos with strangers... which is a shame really because without the community the game gets extremly boring.

So all that's left? ganking noobs? ruining lowbie zones? not really sub material for me right now.

Check out my review and see what i mean.
