Re: dc universe online Dissapointment

Are you trying to do the level 30 stuff solo or with mates? High level stuff in DCUO is all about teamwork - get a balanced party together (at least one of each Tank, Controller and Healer) and see how you go.

But suggesting it doesn't work is stretching it - sounds like you're getting a bit emotional there, and perhaps expecting a bit too much from the game. I'm level 27 (hero) and 16 (villain), and have easily put more than 30 enjoyable hours into it since launch. It's got the odd bug, but as a game it works just fine (and you'll find high-profile games that 'work' far worse than DCUO :smileywink:). And as far as value for money goes, you'll do far better on DCUO than most games.

Also, as Kyle says, maybe don't try and chew the game up so fast - gaming at that rate, and you'd have finished everything to do in Oblivion or Fallout 3 within a couple of weeks! Maybe mix it up with other games, or do something other than gaming for a little bit in-between (maybe working on your spelling and grammar a little :smileytongue:). It's very hard to hit level 30 within 20 hours, which is more than 7 hours of gaming on DCUO a day, avoiding any of the (very enjoyable) PvP content.

Re: dc universe online Dissapointment

A lot of the level 30 missions are very tough and are not meant to be played solo. Depending on who you can team up with, give all the duos a go - you should be able to complete two of the four without too much trouble (i would try Gorilla Grod & The Hive first). There's a few challenge missions you can pick up from the watchtower that are not too hard at all and can help you improve all your loot to level 30 blues (before trying to work towards tier 1 armour). Faust & Jokers funhouse challenges are two that should be reasonably easy to solo in challenge mode.

Do some feats and earn some extra skill points, then invest these in weapons that increase your stats.

Do some PvP legends or PvP arenas - once you have about 250 influence, buy a nice pvp weapon in the reactor, and use it for PVE too, the damage stat increase is usually significant.

Have you taken time to learn your role? Are you a tank, controller or healer? Or do you just stay in damage?

And like Axe mentions - take a break for a bit. Yes, the game is addictive and you just want to keep going, but the scope of the game is massive - treat it like a marathon, rather than a sprint!

I play on the Absolute Power server, if you're on the same server and need the service of a tank, just ask :smileyhappy:
