I have an issue with DriveClub loading in Bikes mode only and not allowing the option to drive Cars.
I've had Driveclub since 2015 on a Disc.
Recently, I upgraded my PS4 to PS4 Pro and when I start the game it only loads the Bikes option.
Anyone else out there having the same issue?
After reading an older online post, I followed the recommended steps and uninstalled the DRIVEClub game and it's saved data twice and reinstalled with current updates, to no avail.
FYI, the Bike add-on was purchased and downloaded from Playstore along with the DRIVEClub VR version a while ago.
However, only now this issue came up since the console upgrade.
Does anyone have advice on how to fix this?!
You sure you're selecting cars when it first boots up before loading properly?
It actually boots up in Bikes only!!!
Thanks for your reply.@WinnieP
Hmm that is very odd.
Have you definitely waited for the ENTIRE game and all aspects to install? I know DriveClub has tricked me in the past with pretending to be fully installed.
I have contacted Sony PS4 support and they are investigating the issue.
Looking through other forums I found a post related to the exactly same issue. However, this was over a year ago and I coudn't get a response from the person who posted it or form other forum members...@WinnieP
Yes, I've been very patient throughout the process.
I am aware of background work during installs, removals of applications etc. which can take longer than expected and are not always visible or informed through dialogue boxes on screen...
the best thing is to just insert the disk and then leave it in the ps4 until it the disk stops running and the version update download is finished.
As even tho the menu screen says it is done... its still installing and u can tell as the disk drive is still going and after awhile the disk drive lowers its tone. once it has totley stopped. it will be installed.
again also wait for the update to download too....@braussie2014
I appreciate your feedback.
I've done exactly that, to no avail, unfortunately.
The PlayStation Support Centre have investigated the issue and found that if you complete the first race within Driveclub Bikes then select continue and drive, you are then able to access the original Driveclub game.
I hope this information is of help to anyone else out there who stumbles upon this same issue with DriveClub.
