I was exactly the same before I played Demon's souls....the good thing is, being bad at it doesn't matter with this game every time you think you've got it down pat, the game lets you know you're still a noob hehe....completely addictive and you really don't mind dying. I've been trying to play Shadow of the colossus and that game really does have me raging in a way that dying 500+ timeson DS would never do.

Mine arrived today,jeez I forgot just how tough it was going to be!  

Loving it at the moment tho, and if its like Demons souls then the first playthrough is like a tutorial anyway.

Its only going to get better.

Sigh, worse than Demon's Souls.

The great thing about Demon's Souls was that it was tough but fair. This is not that, they made it harder by simply making it unfair.

The boss I was at for example, he has 3 attacks, a sweep from the right, a sweep from the left, and a hammer blow, any other game would make it clear which attack he will do so you can dodge it, this game has no indication of what he does, this has made it extremely unfair and luck based. If I do managed to lucky my way past it one day, I really hope there's no other bosses like it.

That's the only issue I have with it, but it is a major one and it's extremely frustrating and has made the game unplayable for me now.

I have had the game for a week now so I am about 24 hours playing time into it, I have killed 8 bosses so far. Which one are you stuck at?

Also you want to make sure you have at least a heater shield as it will block 100% of physical damage, other shields some classes start with are not as effective.

I don't think the game is any harsher than demon's souls even though I only played about 10 hours of DS.

There are a couple of stupidly easy bosses further on that require minimal brain power to over come.

Killed 2 bosses now. Just died again so I have turned it off for a little break. ArsenalMark if it is the boss I think you are on. Before you get to him there is a small building with a magic thing to put on your weapon this helps a lot with it.

There is also a vendor in Undead Burg that sells firebombs, 2nd boss doesnt like them too much.

Hmm if it is the boss I think you are on then perhaps you need to rethink your strategy.

I just got to a part of the game where there are 7 of these bosses to kill haha, I have taken out 2 of them so far but they are hard work and only give 1200 souls!
