Demon's Souls

I've just gone back to Demon's Souls hoping to get it finished before Dark arrives. I'd left it about a year ago in the middle of NG+... man that was tough to get back into.

I've levelled up a bit now and started NG++, but my only worry is I'm too high to get PWCT (via killing invading BPs) as I left NG+ with PBCT as I got fed up with the monumental not giving me the friends ring so went on a rampage lol. But I don't think 5 NPC BPs will be enough to go from PBCT to PWCT.

Oh well, I can always do NG+++ and kill more NPC BPs I suppose.

I was in your position. But I got lucky some really crap person kept invading me trying to kill me with firestorm. I killed him about 4 or 5 times and had PWCT.

Haha nice I've power ranked up to about 250 now, and it's lonely up here... although I did find (and activate) a blue stone in 3-1. It was annoying because I was just going to turn it off and go to bed, but I couldn't pass up such a rare opportunity...

I feel for the guy though - I haven't played 3-1 in over a year, so couldn't remember where to get all the keys etc. And he was Korean so I couldn't understand what he was telling me to do. It took me about 15 minutes to pick up the keys off the body by the nail spitting machine

And then, after we killed the boss, he left and I was stuck. I though the game had glitched until I Googled it and remembered about the guy upstairs. So I ran 8 miles to kill him, then the boss for a third time (as I accidently triggered the fight a second time while wondering what to do).

But now I'm getting back towards PWCT. Fingers crossed I can get it in the four BPs I have left, as I CBA with another play through.

Why a steelbook version?

For 40 quid (or whatever the actual price is) its a pretty good deal. You can look at the collectors editions of many games, and they're after silly money, and the added extras just look tacky IMO. I'd far sooner the artbook etc than a steelbook. Steelbooks are really badly built as well. All the ones I have are dented.

Totally forgot about this game, got my pre order in today, cancelled BF3 to play this instead this should tide me over nicely until Uncharted3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic!

One of the reasons why I bought a PS3. I read and heard of all the hype about Demon's Souls. Can't wait!
