Demon's Souls

Hello all.

I need help I am in the process of buying a game this weekend or pre-ordering one. The two games are as above.

Dark Souls Or Rage.

Im really confused, I know information on Dark souls (Guessed playing Demon Souls helps)

I have just sat down and looked at footage of rage and my jaw dropped, but I know nothing about this game.

Save your money for something decent.

i would go for dark souls as it is a great challenge and very rewarding once youve succeeded, Rage to me just seems like another FPS and heard theres an offline pass for the singleplayer which is a bit OTT Imo

If he is going to buy it new then the offline pass doesn't come into the equation, does it? He will be getting the full game.

I wouldn't know which to choose from, both very different games.

out of the 2 games mate, i would buy rage,(im buying rage) will last alot longer than dark souls. as on the on xbox its 3 discs. plus its using id tech 5 engine. if you have played call of duty and like it. then you will like the fast fluid gamplay. as infinity ward uses there older engine just update it

Going by IGN' review the first play threw should last about 60 hours. Considering Demon's Souls lasted me near 200 hours. I would say Dark Souls. I have watched a few gameplay vids of Rage today. It dose look good. But I think it is one of them games I can wait until it is cheaper.

@Op: The choice is yours, it depends on what you want as both are different experiences, on one hand you have rage which is a FPS style rpg, and on  other you have Dark Souls a brutual hardcore RPG. I agree with ocelot as Demons souls gave me 4 months about (150 hours) of pure gaming I know that by getting Dark Souls i am getting value, i cannot speak for rage as I know very little other than its a fps rpg.

Go for Dark Souls. 

For one, you know you will like it as you played Demon Souls.

And two RAGE to me looks to be all fur coat and no knickers. It's BorderFalloutLands with pretty graphics. Id haven't made a decent game since 1996, amazing engine creators, but they aint game developers.

Yes I played it none stop for a month. Got all weapons, all stones, found and beat every boss, got every trophy. After all that I still played it as it was just so good. I liked helping other players I also like invading other players world. So for the price of £30 witch came with some nice extras (black phantom edition) I think I got my monies worth.
