Great vid - that is a lot of souls fast ![]()
Until you've unlocked that Archstone, the start of 4-2 is the next best soul farm, and a good opportunity to farm for the elusive pure bladestone.

Farming cloudstone at the same time just makes this even sweeter , Kudos
There's also a kind of plateau near the sea with a load of random rocks scattered about, and in the middle of that area are 2 crystal gheckos. You can see them from miles away, so scope it out before you go exploring... I think they hold cloudstone too.

- Where is this exactly?
4-2 was shorter than I expected I only know of one Crystal Lizard in it.
Is it easier to level up late in a game, or early in a NG+? I'm assuming in NG+ you don't have immediate access to the best soul farming locations, and won't get enough to really advance from the initial open areas.

Overall, depending on where you are in the game, after doing multiple playthroughs, I found this to be the ultimate most effective soul farming method which enables you to net approx 150,000 souls in about 5 minutes.
Mandatory Requirements - NG+, PBWT and Soul Sucker.
Optional but recommended - Soul Thirst, Thiefs Ring and Ring of Avarice
Go to the 4-3 Old Hero archstone and starting making your way back through 4-2. Kill the first reaper for around 10,000 souls and you will shortly come to a Black Phantom Dual-katana Black Skeleton. Sneak up behind him and activate Soul Thirst then Soul Suck him for a one hit kill. This will gain you 80,000 souls. Then continue along the ledge and you will find two Black Phantom Golden Skeletons. If you are quick you can sneak up behind and Soul Suck the first one before Soul Thirst wears off gaining you 40,000 souls. Once you have Soul Sucked the first Golden Skeleton you will attract the attention of the second. Run and hide behind the cliff for 2 secs and then sneak up and Soul Suck the second one for an additional 20,000 souls. If you have the miracle evacuate you can quickly return to the nexus to cash in all your souls.
The above method can also be used as a chance to obtain Pure Bladestone. Do not forget this will only work if you have Pure Black World Tendency in world 4. I used this when trying to obtain Pure Bladestone and went from soul level 120 to soul level 270.
