I know it may not help, but I was farming the one at the bottom of the steps through the hidden doorway on 4-2 I think it is. With as much help as possible to increase the drop rate it actually only took me about 10 attempts to get a pure bladestone. This may of course have been nothing but luck.

Anyway, good luck, there's something special about getting the platinum on Demon's Souls.

I've killed that very same hidden passage Skeleton over a hundred times with absolutely no dice. Seems lady luck lifted her skirt for you on a whim but so far has given me naugh but a cold shoulder, that coquettish harlot.

Anywaste, until someone helps me out or I lose my sanity I'll keep trying, but it sure is a horrendous waste of time.

Yeah, I do. I did another 200 or so runs yesterday, was up to 3AM in the morning alternating between the Black Phantom and the hidden passage skeletons every 50 runs, but no dice.

My heart is breaking...

Someone let me hold a +5 sharp weapon, I'll give you anything from my inventory. My current character is built for Trophy hunting so I'll prolly delete it once I get that last Trophy that I lack, in other words everything is up for grabs. About the only things I can think of that I do not have is the monk collar, which I might be able get as I still need to beat that boss on this run as well as Selen Vinland's dull gold armour set.

My character tendency is pure black, so it might be a factor, but no one knows exactly what factors if any effect Pure Bladestone drop rate, and again, I am on the Asian server.

Oh yeah, my Soul Level is above 200 now thanks to tens of millions of souls gained while farming for the fabled Bladestone. My other character is about Level 29.

That's a common misconception... The LSoS affects drop rate, not drop quality. The drop rate is already 100% (i.e. you get something from it every kill). As far as I know, nothing affects drop quality. When I got mine, I was in human form...

Unfortunately I sold my Asian copy to fund an EU copy, else I'd help out.

yeah, I've read comments to that effect before, but since I twohand a sword for farming I might as well put a Large Sword of Searching in my inactive weapon slot. It won't hurt.

In all honesty I feel that for both Dark and Demon's Souls in all of the hundreds of hours I spent with either game the only time I was not having much fun was when trying to Platinum either game. If the PS3 had an option allowing you to opt out of Trophy functionality for a given game then I'd definitely make use of it for future installments.

It is voluntary of course, but when I really love a game and play it a lot I am compelled to 100% it, especially when I've already racked up a few trophies while playing the game normally. Too bad Trophy hunting is almost always the most tedious part of any game.

Your last 2 paragraphs just do not compute.

Since quite a few are asking yes I can and do still help on both the US and EU version and I guess dark souls.

Will need to check my lvls. I believe my US guy is around 170 and my EU one is about 150. I still have all rings, unique weapons and all +5 weapons needed for trophies on both the US and EU version I also definatally have some bladestone pure in stock in stock on my EU version.
