I've been doing co-op a lot recently,  as a fun way to level up before my next playthrough.

Only problem is the waiting around to be summoned.

Anyway,  today I place my summon sign just before the Sif boss area and waited.

After a while a message flashed up  "Invading another world"  (or something very similar) instead of the usual  "You are been summoned to another world" message.    I was then sent into another players world as a phantom and then immediatley kicked back to my world.

This happend twice.    It's never done it before.

Anyone else had this?

Ah,  that would've made sense.   But no,   I'm in the Warriors of Sunlight covenant.  Never been in the Cat Covenant with this character,   so don't have the Cat Covenant ring either.

Maybe it got confused somehow.    I'll put it down to a network glitch.

I've had some weird match ups when invading. I'm level 10 dark wraith covenant and used the red-eye orb to invade in various locations. It doesn't happen often but on some occasions I've been paired up with players that are an insanely higher level than me. These locations include undead parish, darkroot basin, new londo and anor londo. The highest I have invaded was level 157 but I also invaded a level 100 and level 90. I was amazingly lucky and managed to kill the level 100 player. What is going on with invasions? I thought you could only invade players in your level range?

lol you would be surprised at how many low levels there are with really good equipment, especially since people discovered the bottomless box glitch. Some people stay low level and play the game for a challenge like I did. Most people will not be such a low level in places like anor londo, only experienced players with the intention of staying low but it has raised a lot of questions for me about how the pvp matching works. It's not something I decided to do just to terrorise noobs... although that can be fun at times lol

Maybe they've made the level range wider due to the number of players dropping?    So you can get actually get to play with others.

I've not PVP'd yet,  so I'm only guessing that the number of players is dropping,   just due to how long the game has been out.

i think darkwraith can invade anyone once they have done ng+.

There is definitely something wrong with the online match making. I was playing my level 40 character yesterday and invaded a level 113 in Anor Londo (not dark just regular). That's almost 4x my level! I know exactly when I have been out skilled or just plain over powered. Hardly a fair match invading someone four times more powerful. I'm not sure about being invaded but I was always under the impression that you can't be invaded by someone who is a higher level than you.

It would be handy if the game could show you some statistics about the people you have played with. Like battlelog does for Battlefiend 3. At least this would help us understand how the game works.
