Re: RAISING AMY! Thanks for looking!

Hi TastyHalloween...it's Stref here...I had trouble replying through my old account, so I created a new one ( I am now GreenGreedo-the best Star Wars character EVER! )

The babysitter and her stalker are just a side story of unrequited love that runs through the strip.  Lovesick ***** is totally in love with Flower...but she is not interested. This never seems to deter him though, and he tries over and over again ( in vain )  to win her over.  Will he ever suceed in getting a date, or a real ( not dreamed ) kiss from Flower?  Only time will tell.

It is my intention to broaden the scope of the strip by adding many more characters, each with his or her own agenda.  Amy will always be the star of the strip but it's nice to break away from her from time to time and see what other characters are getting up to.

Flower and Lovesick ***** are the first 'other' characters that have a seperate story, but more will be added giving the strip more dimension and diversity.

I really appreciate the time you have taken with your comments about the strip...honest feedback ( good or bad ) is always welcomed!

Cheers the noo...( that's Scottish! )

Re: RAISING AMY! Thanks for looking!

Well, what i meant was basically it caught me off guard, after four issues, Flower just comes out and goes "Oh I'll go on a date with you" just felt kinda random. Its nice seeing the characters, but yeah my favorite interactions are with Amy, I'd love to see more Flower/Amy stuff (the shower scene was epic!) lol. But yeah, i'm still in love with the comic and will keep buying them. Just felt a little random for that short page of "this could be real?".

Hey Stref, if you are having problems signing into the forums you might want try doing it through the EU PlayStation Community Forums instead of the PlayStation Comics website it self, it seems to have some issues from time to time.

Re: RAISING AMY! Thanks for looking!

Yeah...this works much better!

Thanks TastyHalloween, really appreciate the comments-if you search for 'Raising Amy' on facebook you will findn a group I have set up there...there is a free poster for members and concept art/sketches from the strip to look at-you can also put in a friend request there too, and I will get back ASAP.

BTW...Did you get issue 5...if so what did you think about the end (without spoilers!)? I'm curious to see how this will go down with folks.

Hopefully they will be  collected in book form in the near future!

Cheers the noo...

Re: RAISING AMY! Thanks for looking!

In issue 4 I really liked the bits with Bubbles the goldfish, and the the comic book steps to get the cookies. That bit really made me laugh, though the final page is issue 4 is the best I think.

With issue 5 I liked the bit with the artist falling asleep, you did a really good job of breaking the 4th wall from time to time Stref :smileyhappy: The "We regret to inform" you page was really good as well. As for the ending to issue 5? I liked it. Would be very interested to see how you would continue on from that, though maybe it would lead to a very different situation if you take into account the test results at the end of issue 4?

Hope we get to see some more anyway :smileyhappy:

Re: RAISING AMY! Thanks for looking!

Sorry it took me a bit to reply. But yes I have read issue 5. And I have to say, I loved it btw. Flower and D!ck are back to their normal selves. (which makes that one panel still kinda odd, but yeah still loved it). And second, the ending. I was as stunned as the cast was lol. I'd love to see how you'd move on from there, and I loved that ending with a bang!

Re: RAISING AMY! Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the feedback guys...glad the ending seems to be going down well!  I thought it would be more interesting to end this way than on any old generic joke...also it opens the strip up to more potential situations-ideally I would like to end up with a sort of 'soap opera' made up of many different characters.

Unfortunately, that's all that I've drawn so far...guess I need to get back to the drawing board for the next lot!  Thanks again for all the comments, honest feedback (good or bad) is very handy and always welcomed!  These forums not only give the readers a chance to talk with the creators, but more importantly I feel, a chance for the creators to connect with the readers!

Re: RAISING AMY! Thanks for looking!

The only thing is we need more people using the forums :smileysad: Doesn't help that for whatever reason, they still don't list the comics forum of the US PlayStation website.
