Sci-Fi and fantasy comics? You aren't going to get to much from Marvel or DC unless you count the likes of Green Lantern as the type of sci-fi your after, but there is still a decent amount of stuff on the store.
2000AD Prog published by 2000AD - You will get a real mixture of stuff in 2000AD. It's an anthology book, and you get abit of fantasy in it, some horror and alot of sci-fi. Judge Dredd is in it ever week, while the other stories rotate in and out. Prog #1700 is a good starting point, as it is all brand new stories.
Durham Red published by 2000AD - Vampire biunty hunter set in space. Really very good.
Shakara published by 2000AD - One of my favourite comicbook series. Massive space epic, and really just an excuse to do lots of odd aliens and to blows lots of things up. Amazing artwork.
Slaine published by 2000AD - Another one of my favourites and this one is a fantasy series. It is sort of set in Celtic Britain, but it has loads of demons and all sort of odd things in it. Great stories, and the Clint Langley artwork is just jaw dropping.
Doctor Who published by IDW - Based of the BBC television show. Everyone knows what that is right? Time traveling, sci-fi, weird aliens
Dragon Age published by IDW - A spin-off from the Bioware fantasy rpgs video games, but it's actually very good. It's a templars hunting mages type story.
Dungeons & Dragons published by IDW - I've been really impressed by this one. It's a fairly light hearted fantasy story, it's not trying to be overly serious, but it's still a very good fantasy story.
Groom Lake publisged by IDW - A very fun Area 51 type story, which also includes audio commentary.
Beowulf by Markosia - Based on the Anglo Saxon epic poem. Just a retelling of that story with some very nice artwork and it's super cheap. £0.79 for 59 pages.
Elventh Hour by Markosia - This is another comic anthology, but it has some good little sci-fo stories in it aswell.
Growing Up Enchanted by Markosia - More a kids story about dragons and knights, but it's very fun. If you like Asterix or Bone you might like this one.
Tales from a Clockwork Empire by Markosia - Set in 18th century Europe during the time of Napoleon, but with abit of a twist. Clockwork machinary.
The Indifference Engine by Markosia - This is a make your head explode sci-fi story. I don't even know how to explain it, but it's very good lol
The Lexian Chronicles by Markosia- Just buy this one, it's that simple. Fantasy story set in like an early trible society with beautiful art.
Atomic Robo by Red5Comics - Check out the free issue and that will give you an idea what this is. Basically a very humours series about the adventures of a robot that was created by Nikola Tesla. Lots of odd monsters, mad scientists and time traveling etc. Really very good.
Neozoic by Red5Comics - We have only got the first three issues of this, but I really enjoyed it. Set on a fantasy world where dinosaurs still exist and humans are trying to protect their city.
Dust Wars by Twistory - Alternative World War II history that includes lots of mechs. Again, check out the free issue. Oh, and it looks stunning!
Zenescope - I've not really read enough of the Zenescope books yet to say which ones I really like, but they have several free issues on the store and pretty much all their titles are fantasy titles which spin-off from classic fairy tales etc.
That sound give you some idea of what to check out I hope
There is other stuff on the store as well that would fit the bill, especially things like Fables from Vertigo (under DC on the store) which is a great series. I wanted to highly some of the smaller publishers though.
