Has anyone actually connected to the blur servers or is it just me as i have been trying all day to connect but nothing????

Well I got the game yesterday (Thursday) and I had a few races, worked fine.
Today it worked fine but at one point my PS3 crashed twice in the space of 30 minutes so I called it a day.
Maybe this has something to do with it, I dunno.

I picked the game up on Friday. I've had no problem getting into a multiplayer game, but after a while the game freezes. Is anyone else suffering from this?

The game is a lot of fun a good old pick up and play racer. The single player is fine its just when I go online the freezes and crashes happen quite often.

As said in my post mine crashed twice online within about 30 minutes.
So perhaps there is a problem.
I went on Blur today but not online, and all was fine.

Hi there!

 I received the game on Friday.  I connect onto the Blur server (i.e. playing online), but within 2-5mins the game freezes and it crashes!  This has happened everytime!

Any ideas why?

Well I'm guessing it's a problem on their end if multiple people are experiencing it.

Just been on Blur online and I lasted a while and then just now it crashed.
So yeah, I'm thinking there is a problem.

Same here, had it since Thursday and everytime I go Online it Crashes after a while.

Managed to get about 8 or 9 races in on multiplayer before the big freeze. Although during them races there was a lot of people getting disconnects during the races. Looking on other forums its not just the PS3 that's suffering from this but the "box" is as well. Fingers crossed a patch will be out soon.

I had a ton of fun in my first races online last night, but there are definitely some issues with multiplayer that need to be fixed quickly. Freezes - for both consoles - have been reported both here and on the official forums (I had one during my eight or nine races). I also experienced a couple of disconnects, one in the lobby after a race and one in the middle of a race.
There also seem to be lots of people having problems connecting at all, although for some of them at least I imagine this could simply be one of the usual cases of the correct ports not being open on their router (I'm running NAT 1, and in game it's also reported as "Open NAT").

Let's hope they get these problems fixed quickly, because it would definitely be a shame if Blur multiplayer didn't take off.
Based on my first impression I would say it has a lot of potential, and given that destruction and carnage is one of the corner stones here, it also doesn't suffer from the default problem that keeps me sticking to singleplayer in most racing games - morons whose only purpose seem to be to ruin the experience for everyone who doesn't automatically think every racing game is meant to be played as a destruction derby. Fortunately this one is .
