Driving games?

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I'm getting sick of F1CE now,  I must have driven 50-60 seasons now and I need something new.

had a game of Forza 3 on my friends xbox and it seems good, is there anything like it for the PS3?

I just want a driving game where you buy better cars etc.  I dont want any silly things like the ones where you crash for points or anything like the poor need for speed games.

a forza clone would be sweet.. anyone?

edit-  Note.. I only play offline

Well, no buying cars but Burnout Paradise is brilliant and Motorstorm is great fun and GT5 is being released in Nov and Forza is A Gran Turismo clone (GT) NOT  The other way around!!

I'll have a look at burnout, I know Motorstorm is not the kind of thing I'm looking for.  I hate arcade racers.  prefer more sim' based.

thanks

Re: Driving games?

If you hate arcade racers, then Burnout isn't for you either.

There are a few sim racers out there that are worth your look. Ferrari and Supercar Challenge are good, but they are very challenging. Gran Turismo 5 is here in November, and that will be all you need once it's here.

May I suggest you head to the Gran Turismo section here on OPC. Currently there is online event taking place on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue; it's a lot of fun, easy going and a great for the new Gran Turismo racer. And if you don't have GT5p, it only costs £10-£15 to buy.

Re: Driving games?

If you're not fussed about trophies, try Grid - it's pretty old and you could get it cheap. Also try Dirt2, but that's a bit more arcadey. But it's basically Grid offroad.

Re: Driving games?

I'm heading into town a bit later on today. I'm also looking for a decent sim racing game. I've heard good things about Supercar Challenge so I'm going to try and pick that up. I'll report back later with my thoughts.

Re: Driving games?

I finally managed to find a copy of SuperCar Challenge but haven't had time to try it yet. I'll definitely give it a go tomorrow and post my thoughts.
