Ok so one of my favourite youtube videos is mattzel89's racing in slowmotion IV,  this is 15 minutes of awesomeness I can happily watch over & over again.

I decided to embark on a project to tie in with the community racing month, which you can tell by the date I failed miserably at but the idea was to use that video as inspiration to make something like that but only using playstation games

now it took alot longer than expected as I had to go out & buy 4-5 games & play through them but I finally got to a point where I think as a first effort I'm kind of happy with but obviously as more games get released & I progress further with in game careers then they should (in theory) get better but this is what I've come up with so far

AMAZING work

Great vid, must have taken you ages to put that together!  A nice mix of racing and crashing!  To 2 lotus f1 cars sliding around the corner together was epic.  As was the crash on spa!

What games did you use?  I spied GT5, Dirt3, MotoGP and F1 in there.  Maybe 1 or 2 I didn't recognise. what is a shift or grid or (similar)?

the games were f1 2010, f1 2012, nfs shift, nfs shift 2, race drvier grid, dirt 2, moto gp, gt5

i really had no intention of it taking as long as it did, i thought it'd be a case of doing it over a weekend but once i started i just wasnt happy with some of the videos & then i had to go back & then you get one or two incidents which you think '' ohh yeah got to put that in'' which throws the timing out with the rest of the video, in the end i figured i could work on it for the next 6 months & not be entirely happy so maybe just upload it & then any criticisms i can use in the next one

one thing i will say though is i've had so much fun in playing through these games so far, a kind of un-expected side effect is you really experience the games in a different way when your just playing for replays & i suppose trying to play the game in a more realistic way rather than just trying to bludgeon your way into first place in every race

dirt 3 sorry not dirt 2 & also F1 : Championship edition,

But really looking forward to grid 2 & project cars though, 2 massive titles for me in 2013 & hopefully should really be able to expand on this project

the crashes were pretty epic though the best ones came from shift 2 though it has this irritating bug which lets debris hang in the air & stay static which im trying to work around as in that game the crashes literally blow the entire car apart though grid provides some pretty good wrecks,

ah cool, when i read dirt2 i was a bit surprised, looked just like dirt3

not heard of project cars tbh, shall have to have a looksy. only really played the demo of the first grid game.

project c.a.r.s. is a huge racing game title coming up, its physics & graphics are immense, this is one trailer

if you search youtube for it you'll find so much info, as far as im aware this is pure sim, it could potentially leave everything else for dead if its as good as its being branded about
