I have a love hate relationship with it at the moment, one minute I think it is one of the best racing games I have ever played, then the next moment I hate it.

I love the track designs and layouts I think they are amazing, the cars look so good and are spot on, but the one thing that get's me is the Handling, one minute it is great then the next it is unplayable.

Pity really, but I keep going back to this game for more.

Yep, it definitely seems like a love it or hate it game, going by both this and the official forum.
Personally I love it, although while I was still playing with a controller rather than wheel and pedals, the handling was admittedly a tad too twitchy for my taste in some cars. Using a G25 has made it pure driving heaven, with the exception of some cars that still seem a bit more nervous and unstable that I feel they ought to be (the M3 e92 as a notable example).
It looks like there's also no denying it's a fairly buggy game, but so far I haven't seen any of the major bugs myself.
