Hi, are there any decent racing games for PS3?

I've had GRiD on 360, and Shift on PS3 and now want another. Is Gran Turismo Prologue any good? I don't mind spending £15 on it even though new one comes out soon. The deciding factor is whether it is two player split screen or not? Does anyone know? Google says the US version is, but nothing about the PAL version.

My favourite racer on PS3 is Shift, but you've already got that. I guess Prologue is a safe bet and yes there is split-screen.

I have the UK PAL version of GT Prologue and can confirm it its 2 player split screen. But if I remember corectly when you play split screen there is only the 2 players on the track, no other cars. If one player is better than the other it gets a bit borring as you might aswell be playing on your own as you never see any other cars.

If you like driving sims it's great. I don't really so I prefer Burnout, Pure and MotorStorm. If I want something like driving a real car I'll go out and drive one of my cars. I want my driving games to be more about fun, not so serious.

Considering it's really just a glorified demo GT Prologue does offer as much as a lot of other racing games though.

GT 5 Prologue is worth it, i am pretty sure that any money you earn in the game goes towards your gt5 starting money as well, so you can get a little head start on your credits. DIRT 2 is an awesome racing game, lots of different variety in the cars and tracks. F1 championship edition is a little old now, but still a good game (and at least for a while the only f1 game on ps3 until f12010 comes out).

Grid is good on ps3 cant beat the Destruction Derby thats epic

I'd recommend you get Burnout Paradise. It's a brilliant game online, you won't get tired of it

Also games like Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Wipeout HD, Dirt 2 etc are also worth trying!

can vouch for Motorstorm, Motorstorm Pacific Rift anf GT5 Prologue. Motorstorm and Motorstorm Pacific Rift both have split screen multiplayer that is pretty awesome. as mentioned by someone else GT5 Prologue is more of a tech demo to show off the GT 5 tech and graphics, dont get me wrong its a great game but it lack content and the split screen is a bit boring.

there is also Ferrari Challenge and Supercar Challenge which are pretty good games once you get used to the handling but i cant remember if they include split screen.

the best of the bunch for MP split screen is Motorstorm PR as its well balenced, awesome fun and is graphically great as well.
