supercar challenge is good but its full of glitches and bugs that makes the game annoying and no good.

out of NFS Shift and GT5 P i would personally go for NFS Shift as its a full game where GT5 P is a glorified demo of where PD were with GT5 18 months ago, dont get me wrong GT5 P is awesome but its far too short.

NFS Shift is a pretty intense take on racing its pretty arcadey in terms of physics but can also be a chore to play especially with faster tier cars.

if you are looking for a graphical show off with decent simlike gameplay but are not bothered on how short the game is get GT5 P. if you are after a full game to last you a while with trophies and a pretty much tried and tested formula get NFS Shift.

Re: need for speed shift or gt prologue

there is a demo of NFS Shift on PSN. it give you a little taste of the game and how it plays and looks. the reason i say give the demo a shot is because some people i know who really like racing games are not too fond of NFS Shift due to the fact the game is pretty intense. its like there is no real time to relax even if you have a big lead.

have you got Dirt 2 if not that is another decent game that is really good and is pretty big, there is a demo of this also on PSN.

give the demos a go and that will give you a better idea of what the games are like and if they are for you or not.

persaonally i dontthink any game you buy will last till GT5 is released as its rumoured to be as later as oct/nov this year but one thing i do know is that GT5 P is not long enough to last a month.

Re: need for speed shift or gt prologue

best track racing game out now, is a close toss up between shift (my personal preferance) and grid with new prestige cars pack DLC

Re: need for speed shift or gt prologue

Shift is fun, but i'm having MUCH more fun in GT5P, maybe because i'm using the official GT5P wheel ( Logitech Force Feedback ), something about GT5P,maybe its the high graphical fidelity,I mean shift looks decent, but GT5P is in another league, and this is only the prologue, GT5P has class, could be the music, but I find the game very rewarding as I rack up the cash, this is my personal opinion.

Keep in mind, this is " full " game verses a prologue, Shift would have more in terms of longevity since its a complete game, so that could be your best bet, and just wait for the full GT5 to be released.

But yeah, you mentioned you like the duel feature, go shift IMO.
