Re: Sony's Motion Controller or Microsoft's Project Natal???

Can i say neither?

I h8 the idea of motion controllers my missus has a wii its crap i think i've played it like 3 times in a year and a half.

Project ***** sorry natal looks like another gimmick another toy so no thanks and don't even get me started on peter (im full of crap) molyneux crappy presentation of milo with a fake video of it working.

Though i'll give his dues he did let various members of the hype it up game press have a go (well for a min) and even they said it was well broke and did not work!

P.S. I don't know why people are getting so excited anyhows as most of the games shown won't be out till next year at best and some are closer to 2011 but fear not ghostbusters is out this month and is good so we can all relax now.

Mm. But they're loud, and all make noise in the same direction. It's like negotiating with terrorists - you don't really have a choice if you want to negotiate at all.

Re: Sony's Motion Controller or Microsoft's Project Natal???

i feel there is a place this tech if it works as good as they say, i use a G25 wheel in a racing seat for gran tourismo because the analogue sticks on the pad ruin the experience , same for fps ,if the motion controller would adapt well to act as a rifle in a first person shooter it could equal the immersion that the G25 does for gran tourismo

Re: Sony's Motion Controller or Microsoft's Project Natal???

Ok...I think the general feel of all of the comments (well almost all) is that Natal will fail or is faked hype. The Sony Motion controllers will be fun and entertaining for casual games and some real games such as shooters and RPG. But the overall consensuse is that it is all unnessessery, all-be-it revolutionary, tech that really doesn't need to come out. The Motion Controllers would be nice and with a few specailly adapted games could do well, allowing unexperianced players a chance to have a bit of fun while also allowing true gamers a challenge and possably true realisum and immersion that would otherwise be, either imposable or very difficult. So I say yes to the Motion controllers once again for the persition and the possablitys, aslong as it knows its place, which is as an extra to ply CERTAIN games. But I say no to Natal as it just seems very gimmicy, high unlikely to work and frustrating that MS would even mention it without REAL or INTERESTING gameplay.

So Sony yes, but don't push it too much. MS NO!!!

Exactomundo....Its more PRECISE as opposed to MS' Project Natal. The button presses afford it better and more functionality which means additional gameplay coupled with motion movements. To be frank, Natal is the sony eyetoy with batter motion/depth tracking capabilities,voice/face recognition etc.Sony's take also builds on this but further ensures that the motion/depth tracking are precise (1:1)  Natal's has voice/face recognition, thats what a simple firmware update can add-on  when this becomes the controller of choice for both casual and hard core gamers.

I firmly believe Sony's take would surpass MS and the future possiblities are endless....imagine some sort of mo-cap suit with these electronic trackers on various points - joints, which would effectively make you a PRECISE FULL BODY CONTROLLER , full game immersion baby lol.

Re: Sony's Motion Controller or Microsoft's Project Natal???

skipping right to the end of the thread and not reading the posts......

natal/milo=skynet

i have both consoles and dont really have a preference. at the moment i'm more ps3 that 360. but if the natal and milo tech is implimented properly it could be amazing

think oblivion, fallout, fable or mass effect with that technology

i was 100% against motion control on any platform until i saw that

i do agree you need a gun or steering wheel or whatever tho. driving with nothing is a bit spazzy

Natal will most likely never be usable with a hardcore gamer. Sony controller looks like it can add immersion to a Hardcore game

Natal is an advanced version of the PS eye. Sony controller is an advance version of the wii mote

TBH apart from the body tracking crap, Natal looks quite useful.

Sony's controller is an advanced version of the Wiimote PLUSan advanced version of the PS eye.The chances of failure are further reduced. Thats why I feel Sony's controller stands a better chance at being the peripheral to just about clinch this and come up on top.

Re: Sony's Motion Controller or Microsoft's Project Natal???

Natal has the voice and facial recognition which should be great. They are both similar but the ps3 one you have to hold a remote which will prob be quite expensive.

Hardware side its in Natals favour because of working without a remote and the voice and face recognition.

Its really down to the games developers now to create intresting ways to use both of the technologies. Which is what Milo looks like.
