Which game has impressed you the most at E3?

For me, the Uncharted 2 gameplay and trailers shown at E3 have blown me away.  It truly looks like the most polished game I have ever seen in my life.  The graphics are amazing, and the characters look so realistic and move fluidly.  While the first Uncharted had this amazing feeling of actually playing out a fun blockbuster adventure movie, this game looks, from what they have shown, to take it to a whole new level.  That's my impression of at least the single player.  For some reason the multiplayer looks a little scaled down.  Not sure if that's just bad videos.

Personally, at the moment, Uncharted sits at the top of the list.  Then GOW3 and GT5 are close second.  They are both obviously impressive and I will definately buy both on day 1, but I haven't seen enough of both yet.  MAG is up there too.  It's obviously not as good looking as the other exclusives but it looks like a really fun online game I'll get hooked on from the moment I put them disc in.

I'm just disappointed that these games won't be available for quite some time :smileysad:

Re: Which game has impressed you the most at E3?

I didn't see everything at E3, to be honest I'm not entirely sure if there was that much to see... if you kept your eye on the press conferences you saw just about all there was to see.

To me the most impressive I saw was Splinter Cell Conviction. A lot of other games we kind of knew what companies were going to bring to the show, Conviction was an unknown because we haven't seen any gameplay footage since what was it 2006? What we saw in the gameplay was different to the past SC games, it's basically the game the Bourne Conspiracy should have been. I like the way everything unfolds in realtime, flashbacks, mission objectives and all, so gameplay isn't broken up. Combined with semi-linear level designs, this looks like a really positive step for fans of the series. Along with Mass Effect 1 & 2, this is a game I hope to pick up when I finally get an Xbox 360.

I've gotta agree with your top 3 AussieRacer, but I must make special mention of Assassins Creed 2 - the cloth mechanics alone make the animation absolutely amazing, but the game overall looks like it's gonna be awesome!

GT5 has been such a long time coming, it shouldn't be anything less than perfect upon release.

For me, it would defs be Assassins Creed 2 & Modern Warfare 2.

Both of those games looked absoloutely stunning when they showed the gameplay.

I can't wait for them!

Re: Which game has impressed you the most at E3?

rcoll_rorscharch...just get Splinter Cell on PC.  That's what I'm doing.

Actually I am very impressed by some of these other games as well.  Spinter Cell Conviction looks like it will still be largely based around hiding in shadows and so forth which is what I love about the original games.  To be honest, Assassins Creed 2  was never on my watch list.  I never got excited about the original, but I was really impressed with the gameplay that was shown.  They really have improved upon the original.  It looks at least twice as good, so congrats to them.  And for some reason I completely forgot about Modern Warfare 2.  That looks amazing.  It's hard to tell from videos but it really looks like it could be on par with Killzone 2 graphically, maybe not quite, but close.

Oh yeah, and how can I forget The Last Guardian.  I think that's a must buy for me.  I can't believe how good it looks.  I can see that it's the particle effects, thanks to the Cell CPU, that is going to set the PS3 apart.

Re: Which game has impressed you the most at E3?

Modern Warfare 2 for me looks like more of the same, which for the most part is a good thing. I loved Call of Duty 4, I'd even go as far to say it's my favourite game of this generation. I don't think its as graphically impressive as Killzone 2, and I think the on-screen blood effects when you get hit are kind of odd in Modern Warfare 2. In most games it actually looks like blood that sprays on the screen, in Modern Warfare 2 it looks more like raspberry jam. I'll still buy it, but I wouldn't say it stole the show.

Assassin's Creed II is right up there with the top games, it's the only one for me that rivals SC:C. I'll be interested to see just how they've improved the combat though, the E3 demo didn't show it. There probably should be different buttons for different combat moves.

The Last Guardian.

Fumito Ueda is the main reason I resisted the temptation to jump across to the 360 because of the PS3's ludicrous pricing, and it's not a decision I've ever had reason to regret.

Of course everybody is entitled to their opinion, but if you've said anything other than Uncharted 2, you're wrong.

However if you said Scribblenauts then you receive partial credit.
