Streaming game rivals OnLive or Gaikai could be in the frame to reveal a partnership with Sony's PlayStation devices at E3 according to a report.

Twitter: Ross McGrath @drof1337  "By the way, if you don't have a PS+ subscription, now is the time to get one. For real. Just get 3 months if you aren't sure. Trust me."

Would you like/use Cloud-Gaming in the PS+ subscription?

Depends where you live, 30Mb DL 2Mb UL here, which is relatively rubbish compared so some of my friends speeds.

I hope we get it, more choice is good.

i can only get a pathetic 2.5 mb connection however a friend of mine gets 50mb and he finds mw3 unplayable, probably because he gets chosen as the host, big cities like manchester ect get decent speed but the majority of the country cant.

Not a fan of Game Rental streaming services.

If true this venture rests on how it's presented/priced.  Does your PS+ sub include a dertain amount of Cloud games per month/week? Is there additional subs on top of your PS+ sub? Are the Cloud games discounted for PS+ subbers.

So many ways this can fail.

Whilst even the best services have not managed to do it to a level I feel is appropriate, they still work pretty damn well on my connection. The onlive method of delivering demos is very, very good and it is pretty much all I use it for.

The few times I have used OnLive it hasnt been too bad.

I very much doubt we will see this at E3 though, but you never know I guess.

Sony are stabbing their loyal family customers in the back - We have 3 PS3s and 3 PSPs all on the same IP address and all registered with Sony. Why can't we use them at the same time anymore?

Depends if the publishers charge the awful OTT price for games as they do on games released on the Playstation Store.

hey hey

as the playstation moves away from the "open to everyone" model and moves ever closer to a more devisive "pay for functionality" model I simply becme less inclined towards the playstation brand.

dont ge t me wrong. PS+ provided the perfect oportunity for those who came late to the PS3 party and want instant access to loads of games but as services and basic functionality is shifted into a subscription i see it as deliberate attempts to force people into a subscription.

I havent played any form of online streaming for games so i cannot comment on how it work or how sucessful it would be for a console.   are games downloaded to your console on a rental/per use basis or run wholly from the cloud ?

I'd be interested to see how it gets launched and what the subs would be.  [tinfoilhat] interesting to see that he pushed 3 months subs as a must buy.  he sounded like a car salesman [/tinfoilhat]

Gaikai announcing a major announcement at E3. Sony rumoured to be partnering with a cloud gaming service. Provided the above is verified elsewhere a partnership seems all but confirmed. The question now seems to be more about what direction this partnership will go.

it would be interesting to see how game developers, suppliers and game stores would be effected if sony took control of the cloud type gaming especially as the playstation store is expensive as it is without full control of game prices at present, also imagine the damage hackers could do to this type of gaming supply if they wanted, it just seems stupid to me, onlive has not even been a major success has it ? i dont know of a single person who has it and im certainly not interested in it.
