Re: Nintendo Press Conference

If they don't show the new Zelda, they're doomed.

Well they are to me anyway, they'll probably wow people with a new DS. :smileytongue:

I'm not ashamed to say Twilight Princess was the only reason I bought a Wii. It along with Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask will always remain as some of my favourite games of all time.

As much as I love Sony and your games, you really don't have anything to compete with Zelda, and to be honest I'm glad that you don't even try.

It is an example of a game series that has mastered it's own genre, and nothing will ever be able to match it.

You could say the same thing about Mass Effect and Metal Gear Solid.

So I really do hope Nintendo deliver with a new quality Zelda game, and hope they don't return to the cel-shading...

I don't see the big deal about the 3DS or Zelda personally but I'll probably catch a bit of it anyway.

Will be interesting to see what the Vitality Sensor is all about..

Re: Nintendo Press Conference

No idea why I still own my Wii. I don't think it has been turned on this year. :smileyindifferent:

I need something brilliant to arise from this conference.

Re: Nintendo Press Conference

Personally I thought Twilight Princess was the worst in the series as I didn't enjoy the wolf parts and the whole package just seemed a bit bland :smileysad:

Ocarina and Majora's on the other hand were excellent as was Link to the Past etc.

The fact that the biggest announcements this year from Sony & Microsoft is MOVE & KINECT speaks volumes, as they are basically copying Nintendo.

Look at the worldwide sale figures:

1) Wii – 70.78 million (as of 10 May 2010)
2) Xbox 360 – 40 million as of (1 April 2010)
3) PlayStation 3 – 35.7 million (as of 31 March 2010)

Combine the PS3 & 360 sales and you are close to the number of Wii's that have been sold.  Sony & Microsoft can only dream of second place.

The Wii may well not be for the hardcore gamer that is likely to visit forums such as this, but you have to give Nintendo Kudos for their sales results and for expanding the videogame industry.
