Everybody's Golf - General Chat and Help Thread

[ Edited ]

Basically this thread is an Idea darth_rich came up with for our general chats about Everybody's Golf, also it's a place where we can arrange midweek meets and chat about them.  It save the Sunday Fun Night thread from going too off-topic :smileywink:

Also I thought I would put a few links to some useful information about the game

Putting

Basic Spins

Intermediate Spins

Advanced Shots

Those links take you to a Japanese site, where the game is referred to as Minna Golf as opposed to Everybody's golf but all the techniques are the same!

There's something about a nice, crisp, clean thread. :smileyhappy:

Thanks Envisager.  Will be nice to leave the sunday thread clean.

So, do do du dooo.  What shall we talk about. lol.

AHA!  the limited club, silver peaks fiasco lol.

I'm still convinced the "backboard" approach (drive the rocks at the back to bounce onto the green) on the par 3's could work... has anyone else tried it!?

I'm not convinced about the backboard method!

I think it's all about judging the distance, hmmmm maybe using the old style tradition swing system might help....

Nor am I lo - fun trying though lol.

The par 3's are definately the toughies...  can make or break the round.  Traditional is probably a good idea to be honest.

Re: Everybody's Golf - General Chat and Help Thread

Whats this??? The Darth and Envisager thread lol....
Sorry about last night after all the banter about getting in the lobby at the rough time of 7-8, Had the usual issue from the missus...(You always on that....nag nag nag)........hoping to get some sort of practise on this course with the limited clubs...But I believe you can only use limited clubs online? Am I wrong? What clubs are in this selection or is it random?

Only tip I can give is, the Three towers one(sorry dont know off hand which hole), That you all saw on Sunday...Bounce on all the 3 towers of the tee and it lands on the green...Can be dodgy with wind speeds etc or missing and landing in water....But good when comes off..

Ps
Envisager......Found this and it reminded me of you lol Link

Hey Church!

Yeah I tried the towers last night and it worked a treat... as you say though, judging the wind is crucial (still lipped a shortish putt though!! haha)

The clubs are 1W, 3W, 7I, PW and Putter. :smileyhappy:

Hey Dirk,  Its Silver Peaks Hole 14 I think.

Its a 400yd ish par 4 with water to the right.

You would normally play the fairway to the left but with a big hitting expert character you can land on the first of 3 towers that are in the water.

If you do manage to hit the first tower you should make the green in one :smileywink:
