Can someone please tell me how to put spin on the ball.Cant seem to find how to do it anywhere.Thanks in advance.

To get backspin, press and hold up while setting power.

Once you've set power press and hold down

Continue to hold until you click for impact

Super backspin is only achieved when you get perfect impact

For topspin do the same as above but reverse the order you press the D-pad

Also super sidespin left (Right on power,Left on impact) And Super sidespin Right(left on power,right on impact) and diagonal variations(super side+top spin/eft and right and super side+back spin/left and right).These are done by using the diagonals.

does anyone know if there is a manual you can download.I have looked everywhere done the usual stuff by googling.This is the first time i have played this game and although the controls are pretty straight forward to get used to its the little things such as the spin amongst other things that i need to know.Thanks for peoples help regarding the spin on the ball.

All Vita games come with e-manuals.

Look for the little book with a question mark on it.

Yeah have seen that e manual nothing in there about controls bloody stupid if you ask me has everything else in there to do with the game.Perhaps they should include a trophy where you have to find out what buttons do what in the game.

It also shows you occasionally on those little pop up screens that happen everytime it loads.

The built-in manual is almost useless. You'd think that with no printing costs, they could go to town on the manual, but no...

I think the game expects newbies to learn everything gradually from the pre-match info cards that pop up and can then subsequently be read at your leisure from the data section of the main menu. This is dreadful in my opinion.

I mean, I'm aware from other games in the series of the existence of an extra level of power shot available, the blue flame power shot, but it took me 63 challenges (I checked on the data/stats) before I was made aware that such a power shot actually existed in the Vita game (and to be honest, I've looked at the instruction provided, and I still don't know how to achieve it; tilt the Vita up and down at the point of impact? What?)

Perhaps you'd be better off looking at a helpful user-written guide [GameFAQ link]...

It took me a while to figure it out but what I do is tilt up just as impact approaches 0 and then when you need to press x, jolt down at the same time as pressing x. Something like this

/ -> | -> /+x

Shouldn't have to be said but this will screw up your shot badly if you mess up. A bit like if you try it in real life I suppose.

You don't have to tilt up and down.

You can use the direction arrows as has been stated above.

Also

X = Normal impact
Triangle= Slightly harder impact
Circle = Slightly softer impact
