So at their US-centric GDC press conference, Sony announced that EyePet will support (and require) PlayStation Move when it launches this winter. Of couse, we already have EyePet and use the Magic Card to interact with him. I assume Move support will be added as an option to the EU game? I hope so anyway!

Yeah, I hardly play EyePet at the moment as it only seems to work for about 3 hours every day when the sun is in just the right place and cast just the right amount of light into my living room. Turning the lights on doesn't even help! Will be much better when Move is released.

Wont make any difference to the light detection if it can't detect the card it won't be able to see your hands for the rest of the game. (Just loads it to see if 1.12 is out yet, nope dam, want 5.1 audio back)
No, it can see my hands allright, it's just the card that it has trouble with. It's like it'd looking for a specific shade of white (I know, "shade of white" is a misnomer) which it can't find most of the time. I'm starting to think my Eye might be faulty. The quality seems to be appalling in anything less that studio-quality lighting but I don't see anyone else complaining about this so I suppose it must just be mine.

Perhaps it might have something to do with the focus of the camera. You tried changing the focus to see if that makes any difference? Give the camera lens a wipe, make sure no dust or anything could be blocking vision.
