Seriously, there are cheap $100 digital cameras on the market that have way better resolution/mega pixels and handle low light environments so much better.
I would glady pay $150 or so for a MUCH better camera. The game could really be fun but it's let down by the low quality camera.
Makes me worry about it's use in conjuction with the motion sensing wand coming out...

And how many digital still cameras suck at taking moving images? Its not the same comparison.
Compare the camera to a video camera, and how many decent video cameras can you get for 50bucks? To get a decent, HD/nearHD quality camera, you'll be paying a couple of hundred bucks on the camera alone. The price alone would put many people off regardless of quality.
Provided you have the right lighting conditions, the camera has no problem doing its job.

How does that make the game less fun ??
Even if you had a HD camera its still the same gameplay. The pet's in HD, and i don't wanna see myself on screen in HD...................getting close to 40yo and the wrinkles are showing

Whats most disturbing on hot days...
I see myself with no pants on.
....
....
Okay okay.. TMI I know.. but anyway.
Camera is just fine in broad daylight, that or cast a light from
behind the camera onto the floor infront of you.
I cant remember who did that, but it seemed to work.

on a big HD tv, the picture looks pretty horrible, and i was pretty disappointed by it. the missus loves playing the game though, so it doesnt bother me too much. it will be interesting when the wand thingys come out though - if theyre relying on this camera, they dont have the best starting block.
When it comes to the Wands, it only has to track the controllers, I don't believe many games will be throwing you, or what the camera sees, on screen. If I remember right, most of the tech demos didn't show a mirror image of you on screen, so the resolution of the camera won't affect the look of a game. I believe the camera is there in place of the Sensor bar the Wii uses for its Wiimotes, although being a camera will be more versitile if the need for its abilities arise in some games.
