Go to Camp McCarran or/and Camp Forlorn Hope. There are some side quests there and if you complete them your reputation with the NCR will be improved.

Also, you can go to the Helios One Building and complete the quest "The lucky old sun" but i think it needs a science skill of 55 in this quest.

Lots of quests that will improve your rep, easiest ones are to be found at the mojave outpost and the crimson caravan company. ther's 6 or 7 quests between the two and all will gain you NCR fame

Thanks for the replies. It was actually the quest "The Lucky old sun" which landed in all this trouble, I accidently armed the archimedes

Anyway I got to the strip and the NCR ambassador is going to exonerate me from any crimes I committed if I help him out.

Ha ha I armed Archimedes too but unlike you I didn't take down the NCR ! I keep the Euclid finder on me at all time for when I might need some satellite assistance !
