I was playing New Vegas last night having a perfectly nice time then it suddenly turns itself off and goes into the XMB. It turned off as if I had gone onto exit game it didnt freeze or anything, is it possible that it is becoming self aware and wanted to sleep?

That was a common bug in Fallout 3. It sometimes happens on the PC as well. I could be playing and all of a sudden it goes to the desktop.

hah the last 3 times its done that for me is when I should of been in bed because of an early start to work the next morning, I wondered if the game knew that and did it on purpose

It's not that self aware, I was playing the other morning before work (I know addicted or what) and made myself late

As strange as is sounds almost exactly whats happened to me,

been using the normal 'il be there in a minute' excuse to just finish the quest, then NV seemed to feel betrayed that i would be leaving and decided to have the last laugh!!

I'm sure our one only seems to freeze late at night when me or hubby have been playing it all day.. usually take it as a sign that its bedtime! lol
