Hardcore mode
An optional Hardcore mode, delivers more realism and intensity into the gaming environment. Gaming difficulty is increased, and encourages players to implement effective strategies, careful considerations in resource management, combat tactics, and high attention to the surrounding environment. The features that increase gaming difficulty are as follows:
- Healing over time rather than instant healing
- Healing of crippled limbs requires a high medicine skill and medical equipment.
- Ammunition has weight.
- Currency has weight
- Requirement of water consumption to avoid dehydration and eventual death.
- Requirement of food consumption and sleeping to avoid starvation and sleep deprivation.

I definitely will be! I love the idea, I love Fallout's fun side, but also more realism will be welcome.
I'm also kinda hoping they limit how much lockers and cupboards etc can hold, so we can't just stash all my ammo, armor and cash in the lockers in our house (if we get one) like I've done on Fallout 3.
Ha- there's a mod for Fallout 3 PC that basically does exactly this.
'Fallout Wanderer's Edition' it's called- been using it on my latest playthrough and it's awesome- adds real depth to the world and makes the combat genuinely intresting.
