I Would remove that MW2 Pic from my Sig but I can't be bothered, seeing as I don't like CoD anymore

so far, ive not played much but it feels like a bland expansion. and some of the missions seems a bit ahead of them self. for example having to pay somebody 400 caps or have a very high charisma to win some conversations so early? im like level 4 i have several quests that require me to have a massive science skill, charisma or ***** load of caps just to do them. but... i will continue on and see how it goes.

best thing ive done so was was talk to some drifter guy by a sign talk about his dad and guitar, i stole the guitar when he wasnt aware lol. 50 caps worth of guitar :smileytongue:

Re: Whats NV's biggest disappointment?

My only disapointment is the Radio, ive heard a lot of people complain about 3dog from Fallout 3 but he at least had me interested in what he was saying, Wayne Newton just makes me want to jam something in my ears!

More of  a pet peave than disapointment but is it just me or does power armor seem to be WAY underleveled? I worked for hours to get that freakin power armor traning only to realise the armor is basically no real upgrade over combat armor, plus with the whole faction thing i seem to never weat it out of fear of running into someone who is gonna shot me just because im wearing it.

Not as much weird stuff as Fallout 3 even with the Weird Wasteland perk.

My biggest and only real disappointment with the game is too much loading around The Strip area and I also found The Strip to be a little underwhelming and underpopulated.

Still, great game.

Edit: Oh almost forgot. Having to surrender your weapons when you enter casinos on the strip. Gah, having to remap them all again when you leave is a bit of a ball ache.

Seems rather more complicated than Fallout 3, I find myself constantly surfing the net in case a decision I make early on may have disatrous consequences to something I might want todo later on in the game. The Music isnt as good, that Johnyy Guitar arghhhhh.

Also mentioned a little earlier the quests that require a certain skill level to complete or 500 caps as my Barter skill is also not high enough are annoying. Seems the only choice is either to masscre / steal everything to move onwards or aimlessly run around the wastes for ages untill your skills are high enough to give you more choice in quests.

I'm sure from reading other posts it will get better. Although I would like to become a powerful character like in Fallout 3 but that seems not an option anymore.

Oh and You cant just pick up and gun and find its ammo anymore you have to mess about with weapon and ammo types which means early on once again its to complicated, and will take a lot longer to find the weapons most suited to you.

And you would rather have it on Games for Windows Live, the worst gaming platform around?

But that's how Fallout works. It forces you to make decisions based on whether your good or bad. Or in between :smileywink: Thus opening and closing certain paths off in the game so you can explore those on another playthrough and get to see the numerous endings that the game has :smileywink:

Re: Whats NV's biggest disappointment?

Spoiler

Right towards the end in the Legion's camp. For one, where was Caesar, and why could't  kill him? And then some random NCR general turns up and I can't make out what point he's trying to make, so I killed him. But worst of all. The exceedingly poor rendering of the camp. Un-rendered walls that I can walk through? Floating walls. And the fact that it ends, even though your character doesn't die or pass out at the end like FO3.

I'm nervous about the new Elder Scrolls game now. Nervous that it will take after Fallout rather than Oblivion. With non named NPCs, an ending and a sparse map (very few 'dungeons')
