Well than I'd first like to say, Welcome to the playstation forums
the SOTM competition is one of the many competitions that is being run on the forums (most events are announced here aswell: http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Community-E
Most are using photoshop to create these signatures (I believe it was CX5) though some others including myself use GIMP (2.6) which is a free to download program, you should give it a try

Well, I'm no great shakes by a looooooooooooong shot where this photoshoppery mullarkey is concerned but I thought I'd have a go all the same.
I was going to last month but it didn't quite happen.
Anyways I basically threw a few layers and stuff and bits of string and things at it and this was the resulting 'thing'...
...Ta-daaa!
(I didn't like the way it looked with my user id and stuff on it, but that's what the rules said, so I added them)

This is the place for you to summit your SOTM July submissions. As you will know from the rules your entries will be placed into a thread after the final entry date where you and your fellow users will use Kudos to decide a winner!
This months theme is Metal Gear Solid - the closing date for submissions is the 25th of July!

Really liking all of the entries so far. Well done to all of you. Nick that is some really impressive stuff, especially for paint. You're a bit of a dab hand at this, would love to see what you would be able to achieve after a bit of practice on Gimp or Photoshop. Stick at it! I say you're one to watch out for this month.
I don't normally spend a lot of time around these parts but i definitley really appreciate a good bit of art. I'll be popping my head in more often
