What GFX Suite are you using?

Make your sig on a Transparent Blank and save as PNG @ 24bit with transparency.

I am using gimp lol. Well I say by using what I mean is I have just downloaded it as it was free so I am messing around in it as I haven't done anything like this before

No problem, GIMP can do this. Just create your sig on a transparent canvas and save with the properties I listed above.

Anyway just wanted to share this tutorial about Gradient maps, levels and photo filters  that i think its really good and tbh it helped me a lot:
