The story is more or less non-existent. The voice-acting (considering what's capable, as seen in Batman) is poor. The graphics are reminiscent o' a ps2 game and the game play itself is a cross between Strangehold (fun for five minutes) and Total Overdose (repetitive very fast).
o' course people will buy the game because o' the eighteen certificate and the 'strong violence' tab the case has plastered on it but, for me, I need more. The blow the son of a biscuit eater down animations are the same for each blow the son of a biscuit eater down, the bodies soon vanish into thin air and the moves (although upgradeable) feel clumsy to control and, almost immediately, a strong repetiveness about them. Even the cut scenes like repeating themselves (when you find a bottle and rum it to replenish health and then throw it in the air and shoot it). Thank God it's skippable. Unlike other scenes where you have to watch them again and again if you happen to die in that particular segment. Frustrating!
If you want a fun shoot-em-up - buy "Eat Lead". It's a trophy-fest that's a laugh to play and throws new things at you. It's also half the price o' this game which retails at £29.99. Do not be tricked into thinking that it's only £30.... why not give it a go.
I did. I also regret it.
4/10 - it would have got 5 out o' 10 but.... considering this is supposed to be next-gen it drops a point for being so ugly looking compared to other ps3 titles that were released at launch!
I mean, God, you can't even destroy the environment!!!! Even PS1 titles let you shoot out lampshades or bottles!

I thought you may have a point until you recommened Eat Lead...
Edit: You also said it doesn't have destructibily and then said PSOne games do it better. In the demo you could destroy the glasses on the table which is at least equal to the PSOne games...

You can pick "Eat Lead" up for just over a tenner. As a third person shoot-em-up it is MUCH better than this tripe! I'm not saying Eat Lead is perfect but at least the storyline is original and fairly amusing in places. This is naught new and in the demo - that main room you can destroy things. But get past that room to the other rooms (such as the hotel) and you can't shoot or destroy anything. Occasionally you stumble in another room with a little destructivity but that's it.
The game is a mess.

Bethesda published it. Artificial Mind and Movement developed it...
I have my copy now and I'm enjoying it. Really fast and fun. It's flawed but it doesn't stop being cool and just generally entertaining.

i thought it was going to be good until i downloaded the shorts off of psn store.
im sorry but a game to have THAT bad graphics in this era is unacceptable.
i mean C'MON!
however it still will sell good because the front cover is very artsy and bloody, and rage mode i guess doesn't look that bad......
only because everything is red.
