Fight Night R4 - Worried about my characters progression

Hey folks. I bought this game around 6 months ago but only really got into it yesterday and thus far finding it enjoyable. I'm in no way knowledgable about boxing games (I know a bit about boxing) and this is the first game I've owned since some 2D master system one :smileyvery-happy: I'm going through Legacy mode at the moment. Well I've gone through it on Amatuer and won my first belt and now cranking it up again from the start at a higher difficulty :smileyhappy:. What concerns me is late in my amateur clearance I got challenged to a fight by Joe Frazier and I had the battering of a lifetime. Looking back I played dreadful and I know fighting with slightly more experience I'd have had him but I compared stats and his toppled mine by 15, even 20 each in pretty much every catagory :smileysad:. I ALWAYS did all the training I could, I couldnt really get a grip on some of the exercises though so auto-trained a fair bit as I'd probably be getting more even with the 50% reduction. If I'm going to work my way up to clearing on a GOAT setting I'm going to need some advice/help from you Fight Night vets... What do you suggest I do ? Thanks alot :smileyhappy: /Thom

I,m the same mate and i also use the auto train function as i seem to get more benefit that way. Also i use the button controls and not the sticks as i,m used to that from previous games. Is this the best way to do it or am i all wrong?

I couldnt tell you even if I wanted to mate, I have no idea :smileyhappy: I dont think it really matters really. Just play with whatevers more comfortable for you! I got my boxer to G.O.A.T and my stats got my total to 81~ I think with alot around the 60s/70s too (95+ stam is win though lol).

I dont think I'll crank up the difficulty until I find some help. I did the Ali/Tyson/Pacquio trophy fights but using an equal level character :smileysad: Dont fancy a GOAT legacy when my stats are terrible lol.
