Hi All
After browsing the PSN Store today i found the Final Fantasy 13-2 Playable demo!
At a file size of 1778MB its deffos worth a download for those who are fans to the FF Series.
For people who dont know or heard about FF13-2 this game picks up where FF13 left off much like FF10 and FF10-2 did on the PS2
heres a 7 minute video of the " Final Fantasy XIII-2: New Adventures Trailer for those who have not yet seen it and my god its amazing! They have kept the original battle style from FF13 and added so much more to the game they have giving the Characters a whole new look especially Lightning with a while suit of Armor my god shes one Bad Ass

Whats peoples first initial thoughts of the game from the demo or the video?
OMFG! I found it amazing and can not wait for the release of the game on the 3rd of Feb!

Holding my hands up here to the fact I have never played a FF game before, I downloaded the demo last night and played it for over an hour and had a lot of fun with it. The battle setup is completely new to me, so it took a bit of time to get used to but I'm slowly starting to get the hang of it.
It really is as beautiful as everyone says and I think I may buy it (but not at full price. I can wait a month or two for someone to do a half-price deal on it).
It does have a couple of things that are slightly annoying:
1. The Pokemon style pet that follows them around (the voice more than anything)
2. The Choco saleswoman that is apparently going to appear throughout the game (again its the voice acting. Must everything be so screechy to be cute these days?)
On the whole, I'm interested, based on the demo.

I agree with the Sales Womans voice my god its annoying and the Pokemon style pet the Moogle has appeared in a number of the FF games i first seen it in FF9 not sure about the other games. It appeared in FF10 as part of LULU's Weapon so its not new to the game its been here for a while.
but happy to hear the demo has you gripped and interested you into buying it, that to me makes me think the demo has done the job of showing what the game is capable of and making people want to buy it on release day or some time after release

What the hell man, how have you not played a FF game in your life? Pick up FF 7 from the store right now.I've just started the download for the demo - I quite enjoyed FF13 so I'm curious as to how this one will turn out.

FF XIII was good but i hated the linear style it suffered because of the 360.
I hoping FF XIII-2 will have fixed this aspect of the game but i will be buying it anyway.

You are an idiot if you think the linear style was because of it being on Xbox 360.

Think I'll go back to 7 and 8 and try and forget they made 13.
Also making a game linear because it will be on xbox? SERIOUSLY??
It was linear because the developer forgot what people wanted and created a film that allegedly becomes slightly more of a game if you hang in for 40 odd hours.
edit: I tried to write something here asking if it was poor punctuation and you didn't literally mean it was linear because the 360 but I can't make it fit.
"didn't like linear style. The game suffered because of the 360." Two different points?
I give up it's too early.
