Final Fantasy Tactics Thread ( To Beat Big Monsters )

[ Edited ]

So fustrating sometimes when you reach a part of final fantasy game and a huge big monster gets in your way. At first the monster seems fairly easy then when the monster is nearly beat then the monster has a huge powerful attack and you loose the game

Then takes another half an hour to beat the monster again

In any final fantasy games what tactics were used to beat the hardest monsters

Some of the monsters near the final of the game were extremely hard to beat lots and lots of magic was needed to win the game

help each other by discussing what tactics are best to beat the big monster

The best tactic is to know that a massive attack will happen. For example, I'm playing through Crisis Core and I nearly shat myself when Bahamuts Mega Flare first hit me, as soon as I knew, I spammed cure and was fine. You will never pass any Final Fantasy Boss fight first time around.

bahamuts mega flare was really vicious it's just a matter of timing to get out the way or have as much healing potions as possible

Re: Final Fantasy Tactics Thread ( To Beat Big Monsters )

Ahh best tactics in a nygame was Final Fantasy VII defeating the weapons like emerald and ruby..

Man getting your materia leveling it up getting mime and having 9999 hp cuz the special from the weapon took you down to 1 hp but if you got set up correct you would HP drain 9999 hp each hit, having the knight of the round materia was a definite bonus.    probably the 2 most epic batles i have ever fought and OMG did it take some doing to get the materia right..

I have to say not many other battles have been really epic on that kind of scale.  The last sub mission boss was UBER in crisis core.

Some others added reverse to the mix which on some bosses made things interesting when you got heal lined up and they hit you with reverse so you end up killing yourself hehe..

The thing I ALWAYS try and make an effort to do in Final Fantasy is get a RIBBON as soon as I can, nothing worse that some ofthe status ailments like bad breath.

Re: Final Fantasy Tactics Thread ( To Beat Big Monsters )

tbh if your leveled enough and have played a few final fantasy games you will know how to prepare for battle, although when i first played vii i would take ten steps get into a fight and die but now bar fighting the weapons i dont even get a character ko'd

also my top tip for any Final Fantasy is to never run away from any battle unless you have to like in VIII when your been chased by the spider robot, but i have tried to beat it but i have never been able to, if you follow that tip you will never have to lvl

Remember to heal undead enemies or raise dead to kill em fast, first figured this out on the undead wall in ffvii purely by accident meant to heal my team not hte enemy but was mighty happy to see HUGE amounts of damage lol .

I thought this thread would be about Final Fantasy Tactics. That game actually is difficult, unlike the main series.

How I loathed those Chocobos...
