If I remember right you can get duplicates of other creatures with exception to one time fights where you only get the one crystal, but I do remember having an abundant amount of blue chocobos since they spawned in my farming spot.

by playing poker the 10,000 coins trophy does not unlock

I got it last night by using the Clock Fragment skill to speed the game up and then chocobo racing.

Finally ordered FF XIII-2 after watching my brother in law play XIII I remembered how much I have missed Final Fantasy lol

Anyway, is there any thing I should know before starting it? Is there any thing that I can miss early on or are you free to explore? and finally can you carry on once you finish the story? No spoilers please

each time the chocobo doesn't have enough racing points have to retire the chocobo get up to 7000 coins and the chocobo retires
the racing points reset to zero after the chocobo retires got to 7000 coins
is there a way of getting 10,000 coins before the chocobo retires

You have to collect the coins you have earned don't you? I remember they just stack up and you withdraw them. You've probably got loads lol
