I think the OP is asking whether it will cross format compatible.

I can't see it happening but increase it community it is possible as i don't know of any Ps3 games that are cross format compatible.

I remember that need for speed underground on Ps2 was cross compatible with pc but that's the only game i can think of.

Final Fantasy will cross over with PC and PS3.

Final Fantasy XI did it with PS2, PC and Xbox 360 so I dont see SE taking that key feature out of FFXIV.

I agree with this guy. Seeing as they did it with FF XI, there's really no reason for them not doing the same with FF XIV. I think more games should allow this feature, although I can only imagine the conversations between Xbox and PS3 fanboys *rolls eyes*

FF XIV is a cross platform and cross region game. PC and PS3 players will play together and it will have worldwide servers, Europe, America and Japan together.

Its notthe games that are not compatable cross format, its more the decoding required on the server, which could be made a lot simpler by sending the same code from each platform to the server.   The game runs on your console / PC / XBOX the server does nothing but tell your device where everything is.

When they launch it on the XBOX much later than PC and PS3, Im gessing they will have thier own servers.  Then do we have regional servers too.... US, Europe and Asia or do we jsut have everyone on same servers...    It makes more sense to share servers between platforms, the right coding from the start could make that a lot easier.

Who knows... We will see when the game comes out and we all get to play, so long as the server im playing on has more than just me playing il be happy.  

I just hope its better than FFXI which I just couldnt get into despite trying several times.

FF14 is crossplatform en worldwide servers , THAT IS CONFIRMED. They did it with FFXI and that worked great. Even if the xbox360 players joined on FF14 it will be on the same server , just like on FF11.
That was there idea in 2001 with FFXI and they will do the same with FF14 thats for sure. Only microsoft want that because then they will catch the money , thats why the xbox360 version is still on the hold. because microsoft sucks ofcourse.
Only the Alpha beta is region only with the public beta they go worldwide , step by step they are intergrading everything.
So your guessing will be wrong.
