Re: Quickest Way To Win Against Raspatil Monster ?

[ Edited ]

I didn't have a great deal of trouble against Raspatil, but I had also maxed out Noel and Serah by the time I fought it so I'm sure that played a large part. I found the standard RAV/RAV/COM to start followed by RAV/RAV/RAV to stagger then COM/COM/COM to blast it worked quite well in terms of offense. Rinse and repeat as necessary. It spawns a lot of other monsters as well, but they're pretty easy to smash.

It has a couple of hard-hitting attacks, but I found that a Grimoire Hat (potions heal more) and a couple of Potions recovered from the damage in short order without having to do a Paradigm Shift to bring in a medic (or three). It does do a lot of wound damage so carrying a healthy supply of Wound Potions is a good idea. I found using Serah to fulfill the role of handing out Potions was the better choice. For some reason I remember getting poisoned a couple of times as well, so some Antidotes are good as well. The battle lasts too long to just ignore the poison like you might in other battles and having high HP should lead to your characters doing more damage because of their skillsets.

I used a Bucaboo Ace (RAV) and an Apkallu (COM) as my monsters. Bucaboo Ace provides the buffs and Apkallu the debuffs. They're probably not the strongest possible monsters, but both were rocking 1000+ where it counted for their role. I had a Flanitor on the side for emergency healing, but didn't end up needing to use it.

The battle took about 5 and a half minutes to finish using the above, which was good enough for 5 stars in the game's opinion. I'm sure this wasn't the grand strategy you were hoping for, but it's a pretty straight forward battle I found. It just lasts a long time because this critter has a ridiculous amount of HP and like to spawn little buddies.
