You could always jsut play thru the game again.  It wont take as long as you think if you skip the cut scenes and avoid fights except wehn you fing good cp to farm..

Collectors catalogue or connoisseur catalogue?

Which one will most likely increase the drop rate of the traps from adamantoises?

Connosieur Catalog will improve the rate of Trapezhedrons from Adamantoises.

No Dont, you will get enough Traps eventually anyhow you need plat ingots more, do the missions one of them gives you a collector catalogue as a reward that you can upgrade.   Use Both. 

If you dont wanna do missions keep collector catalogue until you get a plat ingot then buy aniotehr and upgrade to conosours catalogue (Collecotr cat is 100 k at moogle works)  Still do the mission save yourself 100k.

There's also a free collectors catalog on the Seventh Tier of Taejin's Tower.

I wonder how many people slapped themselves when they paid 100k for one after Cid?

Edit: Oh and it's Mission 08 (Teleport Stone at Vallis Media Base Camp) for the other Collector's Catalog.

I've killed 5 adamantoises so far though.

I am having no luck with these traps. I need traps at the moment then I can just upgrade my other survivalist catalogue to collectors for the plats.

Plat ingots are a base 25% chance drop

Traps are a base 1% chance drop.

U will need about 1.5 mil in il to max out a t3 weapon.

So dont worry too much or make a Kains Lance fro fang level it to * and dismantle it for 3 traps (of course you will need 1 trap and 1.5 mil to level it ot *)

Yeah I seen that thread, I gave you a kudos for one of your posts . But if I'm going to dismantle kains lance, do I not need a trap for that 1st, as I haven't even recieved one yet.

Yeah you do, but can turn 1 into 3.

Another thing to consider is that when you get ultimate weapon you get an extra ATB bar so you get 6 bars instead of 5.  This is great for healing and attacking and stuff, not so good for spamming abilities like death as it increases casing time by 20%, so dont worry bout upgrading your malbro wand for a while..

Once you max out your CP do the missions this will help you get some items, then go farm farm farm in eden..   You will probably need to spend several days just hoarding plat ingots, you will need 50+ if you want to plat the game.   

Theeden kill no drop quit and reload trick works really well,   Once you dismiss heck and your spamming death switch to Sab Rav Sab to boost the chain as it increases chances of death landing (has sumit like a base 1 % chance)
