Approximatley 100 million gil... or that's how it feels at the mo :smileysad:

Seems to take an age to get enough mats/money to level things up too.

It's nowhere near that much, I'd estimate about 20m

Re: The Complete Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

WOW getting Dark Matter was nowhere near as hard as I thought it was going to be. I have just got 3 in half hour, all thanks to the Shaolong Gui next to the Adamantoise/Gui nest on Gran Pulse (the one on the small hill by the treasure sphere) and have the Gil to buy the other 2 i need. I think I will probably still farm them though. Cos its nice to have a large wad of Gil just in case.
BTW I am right in thinking you only need a minimum of 5? I think its 4 accesories and 1 of Sazh's weapons?

Re: The Complete Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

I would go along with areound 20 million, remember you dont need to get everything to max level just need to own one of everyting.

Dark matter for me wasnt an issue, i just bought all i needed from farming adamatoises for plat ingots.  Much quicker kills..   But thats personal taste and you do what works for you.

It all comes in time :smileyhappy:

I use to get plat after plat after plat, now all I get is like 1 plat in every 4 or 5 adamantoises :smileysad:

Re: The Complete Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

How did everyone get all their Perovskite for the Treasure Hunter trophy? I need millions of it :smileysad: Is it easiest to buy it?

And I missed the Frostbane Brooch. From reading guides, it seems like it's on top of Taejin's tower. If it's not there, does anyone know what dismantles to give me one?

Apart from that, treasure hunter doesn't seem too bad :smileyhappy: The 'hardest' part just seems to be saving up enough gil to buy components to get each weapon to T3.

I didn't NEED to max all my characters on 7,8 & 9 but I did...

I couldn't help it :smileyvery-happy:

As you said, they will all come in time, not in a rush as I am really enjoying the game!

(The $100 million wasn't a serious guess btw :smileytongue:)

Slowly working my way through the missions atm.

Just found the Titan challenge area and trying to 5 star those before I do anything else.

At what point do the the Adamantoises change into the other things too? Not seen one yet?

Re: The Complete Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

What I meant by not maxing was you dont need to level up all weapons and accessopries to * you only need one of each, whats the point in spending 100k leveling up an accessory to * that you are never going to use.   each character has 8 weapons i think and you only need to make one of them t3 the rest only have to be level 1 t2 for the trophy..   It costs about 1,5mil to level up t3 weapons EACH there are 48 weapons also it costs about 500 k to level up t2 weapons to *.

Each weapon costs about 2 mil to get to t3 and max level not including the catalysts, so if you want all 48 weapons to be t3 * you will need about 100 mil just for that not including the 10 to 15 mil needed to get every accessory..

I do have every single weapon at t3 but il be damned if im going to farm anotehr 50-60 million just to get them to * as im never going to use em.

You kinda loose motivation for farming after you got the plat.

Re: The Complete Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

I know it is hardly Traphezodite or Dark Matter, but my first attempts at getting some Scarletite worked pretty well yesterday during my first visit to that part of Eden... :smileyhappy:

2 off the first ever Sacrifice battle, which upgraded my Fang and Hope weapons to Level 2, and now I think I have about another 6 in the bank just by heading closer to the end, and not specifically farming for them.. Now I just need to buy that Adamantite (and get the store)

Re: The Complete Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

Yeah I got what you meant mate, sorry I didn't mean to come across in a negative way.
I meant that I basically get an ocd-esque tendency to have to max out all my weapons/accessories etc!

To be honest, I am losing the motivation for the farming already, the Trap's and the Ingots are a bit of a mare to continually farm :smileysad:

However, I can break away and do some of the missions as I still have quite a few of them to find/do!
