Hi guys,
So I have Final Fantasy IX on my PSP which i bought from the store. I have mastered the game many times but one thing I havent ever done is the Excalibur II - Perfect Game Challenge. I have decided that im going to attempt to do this following a guide on youtube of course.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enRDVkcn7wo
So what is the Excalibur II - Perfect Game Challenge?
"The Excalibur II Perfect Game is the ultimate attempt at completing a perfect
save file in Final Fantasy IX. Contrary to initial impressions, the Excalibur
II - obtainable in Memoria only within 12 hours of starting the game - and a
completionist playthough are not mutually exclusive."
So basically the aim is run through the game as quickly as possible to get to Memoria in hope that you get to the correct spot under 12 hours so you can obtain the most powerful weapon in the game "Excalibur II" This is Steiners ULTIMATE WEAPON.
Anyway a question before i do this that I need answering before doing this as it would probably be a pointless task. On the Playstation 1 you are able to "Skip FMV Sequences". On the PSP you cannot do this. Is it still possible to reach your destination without skipping FMVs? - As you know this accumalates quite a lot of time up watching them.
I hope someone can answer this as ive looked around on the net and there are mixed answers.. Some say it's possible some say not.
Also anyone else willing to try the challenge im sure we would be glad to hear how your getting on. Im hoping to start this within the next few days.. possible today!
Good Luck!

Actually nope, the counter resets and changes color, the game still keeps track of how long you've played though, to make the timer reset, you have to leave it on for something like 3 years.
As for CFW, probably, but even with it running at normal speed it's one hell of a challenge ;p
